Benjamin Lawless

Lone Gun Slinger

Man of mirth and music.

To call Ben Lawless a well-rounded individual doesn't begin to scratch the surface. A recent graduate of the Graphic Communication program at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, a freelance web and print designer since 2003, and an accomplished digital artist and poet, Ben constantly strives to uncover the human element in interactive artistry.

Ben brings to the table a flair for creating worlds out of words and imagery, an in-depth understanding of printing processes and design aesthetics…

Ben isn't the sort of guy to rest on his laurels, either. During the course of a year, he was an intern and project leader on the marketing team for University Graphics Systems, a completely student-run printing company. Also, he was the manager of the Screen Printing lab on the Cal Poly campus for two years. These two roles, when combined with his formal education in printing processes, design theory and real-world execution, gave Ben a heaping helping of experience that most 23 year olds don't have.

At BIG Images, Ben brings to the table a flair for creating worlds out of words and imagery, an in-depth understanding of printing processes and design aesthetics, as well as foresight into the future of the industry tempered by years of theoretical and practical education. Since he's been with BIG Images, he's designed a new logo, hundreds of editable templates, and the interface design for the delicious:designer as well as contributed countless amounts of verbage and graphics for marketing materials.

When he's not at BIG Images, he's still pretty awesome. Check out his online dealings at PenciledIn.com.
