BIG Images is dedicated to continually evolving the way it does business to better serve our customers. As a result of the feedback we have received over the past few years we are updating our policies and guarantees to make the experience of purchasing prints as fun and pleasant as possible. Below you will find our revised policies and guarantees for 2007.

Billing & Payment Δ

Thanks to customer feedback, BIG Images has been actively improving the way we bill clients. In 2006 we started mailing out monthly statements to help our customers better manage their outstanding invoices. Now, for 2007, we are updating our 30-day terms agreement — see the Terms Offered section below.

Payment Accepted Δ

BIG Images accepts COD, business checks, cashiers checks & money orders, Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express.

Terms Offered Δ

If customers do not wish to pay for their jobs when they pick them up, we offer 30-day terms according to this agreement (link). This agreement, updated for 2007, allows a participating customer to list who is authorized to submit jobs & charge to their account. It also requires the customer to put a credit card on file with us that can be charged in the event of a past due invoice. Starting January 1st, 2007 we will require all customers who want terms to have filled out this form (link) and returned it to BIG Images.

Job Requirements Δ

Minimum Job Requirements Δ

BIG Images’ minimum job requirements have been updated to a minimum price per order of $50. For individual prints smaller than 22” x 28” we reserve the right to charge a cut fee.

Turn Around Time Δ

Our standard turnaround time is three business days from the time we receive print-ready-art. Artwork must be received by 3:00 PM PST, otherwise it is considered received on the next business day. If you require a turnaround time faster than the standard 3 business days, we reserve the right to charge a rush fee based on the following rush fee schedule.

• 2 day turnaround — an extra 50%
• Next day turnaround — an extra 75%
• Same day turnaround — an extra 100%

Prints Produced by Other Printers Δ

Many of our materials are a matched pair — our photo-paper and our laminates, for example. They are designed to work with each-other. Often materials produced by another printer do not match with ours perfectly and require extra attention. If you wish to have us work with prints from another company be sure to check with us first so we can test the compatibility of the materials. We DO NOT work with original prints that cannot be replaced. Some materials will warrant a labor charge due to the extra time involved in processing them.

Shipping & Packaging Δ

We ship all orders via FedEx Express, unless they exceed the maximum weight and/or size allowed, or the customer would like other arrangements to be made. If the package(s) are too large then we will choose the best option available for the customer’s needs. If a customer has a preferred method of shipment we will be happy to use it providing we are given their account number for their shipper.

Packaging Fees Δ

Jobs that require special packaging for shipping will be charged a minimal packing fee to cover the materials needed to adequately protect the images & prints. This particularly applies to large flat images, such as those mounted to Gator Board, that can be easily damaged.

Shipping Fees Δ

Shipping and freight will be charged to the customer’s FedEx or UPS account number. If we are not supplied with the customer’s account number we will charge for the cost of shipping + an additional 25%.

Expedited Shipping Δ

BIG Images will bill the client for all costs associated with expedited shipping.

If your job is not ready by the promised date it’s free.

Satisfaction Guarantee** Δ

If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with your job simply return it and we will either replace it or give you a refund.

Partner (wholesale) Pricing Δ

BIG Images Partner pricing was created for the creative professionals, design firms, small-format print shops, and other businesses that want to outsource their large-format printing needs for products they resell. This program’s goals are two-fold — give BIG Images’ customers a competitive advantage and provide consistent and predictable services so our resale customers can stand firm in their confidence in BIG Images.

The terms of our partner program are being updated for 2007 and are as follows:

• Reseller Certificate — for California partners we must have a valid California’s Resale Certificate on file.
• Job Specific Requirements — for a job to qualify for wholesale pricing it must meet these requirements:
  • Minimum Job Size — jobs must meet our minimum size requirements.
  • Turn Around Time — rushed jobs (jobs that need to be completed faster than 3 days) will be charged rush fees.
  • Print Ready Art — the discounts are contingent upon BIG Images receiving print-ready artwork. If BIG Images has to perform any file manipulation to make the file print-ready then extra fees will apply.
• Invoicing — Partner pricing does not apply if we are billing the partner’s client directly. We will bill them at our standard retail pricing.

Partner Pricing does not apply to jobs that involve materials other than BIG Images’.

Caveats and Addendums Δ

* Promised date is the date/time at which a job is ready to be shipped/picked up from BIG Images. Promised date will be provided once artwork is received and approved for printing by BIG Images, and starts only after BIG Images receives print-ready artwork. Promised date will be e-mailed with a job confirmation.

** Satisfaction Guarantee applies to the workmanship and quality of the print(s) as can be affected by BIG Images. This guarantee does not include damage due to errors in the digital artwork (including design flaws and spelling errors), events that are beyond reasonable control of BIG Images, or that occur after the image is no longer in possession of BIG Images. BIG Images can opt to not guarantee images if they do not meet the guaranteeable file requirements.

BIG Images reserves the right to change, modify or rescind its policies at will.
